In a quiet area in the centre of Florence stands a 19th-century palazzo, now converted into one of the Hilton chain’s glittering hotels. The structure is called Anglo American Hotel Florence and is distinguished by the fascinating and harmonious contrast between the classic lines of the building and the contemporary and chic elegance of its interiors. An oasis of peace, style and comfort, ideal for tourists and business travellers alike.

We had the pleasure of being involved in defining the décor of the hotel’s splendid rooms and suites, taking part in an exciting project in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Architect Chiara Caberlon’s project for Studio CaberlonCaroppi

Studio CaberlonCaroppi has a 20-year tradition based on the flair and visions of its two founders, Chiara Caberlon and Ermanno Caroppi, who specialise in the creation of customised concepts for the hôtellerie sector. The studio always designs different and innovative solutions, developing furnishings capable of representing the spirit of the place, with a very strong identity component.

The architect Caberlon and his team drew up the design for the bathroom mirror and bedroom mirror for the hotel, and Monteleone was entrusted with the task of making them.

The mirrors for the Anglo American Hotel Florence

A bold solution was devised for the bathroom of the rooms of the Anglo American Hotel Florence, a composition that is completed in the overall vision of a mirror and the cosmetic mirror that flanks it.

The mirror has a unique design, rectangular for half of its profile and curved on the other side; a beam of LED light enhances the perimeter of the reflective surface, realising a chic synthesis of cutting-edge technology and stylistic contemporaneity.

The smaller mirror, but with a similar figure, stands symmetrical to the mirror. completing the designers’ vision. In the centre of the mirror is a circle of light, as striking as it is practical.

For the room, the studio developed an idea with an apparently essential taste, which does not concede at first glance. The mirror is circular with irregular edges, LEDs punctuate the entire profile, enhancing its lines: a piece of furniture that knows how to stand out, with discretion and character.

A captivating, unique project

The mirrors made by Monteleone to a CaberlonCaroppi design mark a new stage in the company’s creative journey. In this case study, Monteleone played a purely operative role, giving shape to the vision of an ambitious, courageous and highly prestigious study. The end result is as described above: reflective surfaces capable of excellently combining form with purpose, the desire for innovation with the spirit of the place.
