The imposing building displays the transalpine aesthetic canon at its best and is today one of the symbols of the city. We tell you about Hotel Lutetia

The Lutetia is the only palace hotel on the left-hand side of the city of Paris, divided in half by the River Seine. A monumental construction, it occupies the corner of Boulevard Raspail and Rue de Sèvres, forming a pulsating, iconic soul of Parisian culture. The building’s exterior is enhanced by a sinuous, captivating profile, which attracts the passer-by’s gaze with powerful naturalness; inside, the hotel offers a style in which classic suggestions are able to embrace contemporary charm, in a harmonious embrace between past and future.

The marble that covers the spaces, the columns of classical evocation, and the luxurious furnishings all contribute to the creation of an experience devoted to first-class hospitality, offering guests a dimension of ease, comfort and class. The experience is also enhanced by the panorama that opens up in front of the hotel’s huge windows, which turn towards the city of Paris, allowing you to embrace it with your gaze. Nothing, in the Lutetia’s hospitality service, is left to chance.

The architecture firm Wilmotte & Associés

For the re-design of the hotel, the international architecture studio Wilmotte & Associés was involved, an extraordinarily dynamic firm that has been working all over the world for about 50 years, pursuing a design vision based on a strong innovative drive, in the technologies used and in stylistic research. What has always distinguished the firm is its constant commitment to experimentation, with the declared aim of surprising through ideas and solutions outside the conventional schemes.

Monteleone’s involvement in the Lutetia project

In this context, we at Monteleone had the honour of being involved in the re-design of the furniture. We were given the task of designing the reflective solutions for the hotel rooms. We approached the work with the twofold aim of going along with the vision imprinted by the Wilmotte & Associés studio and, on the other hand, of transferring our know-how and our way of seeing the art of furnishing, without distorting it, but, on the contrary, emphasising our own peculiarities.

We have thus created built-in cosmetic mirrors, built around the concept of harmonising spaces. Our products, which you can discover by browsing through the gallery offered here, fully met the expectations of the designers, who appreciated and praised the elegance of our design ideas. The mirrors, rigorously signed SPEKKIO, the brand that authenticates our creations, are illuminated, and, with discretion, but also with personality, were able to win over the designers and the client.
