Interior Design: Lecoadic Scotto

Lecoadic-Scotto has preserved the residence of a noble lineage of scholars and art collectors, a unique experience that allows guests to be transported back in time.

The building’s structure that has remained intact means that one can find design elements from the 1970s and splendors from the 17th century. An unobtrusive entrance between the hotel’s Salon de The and the nearby bistro welcomes guests, the Bourgogne opens onto a private courtyard from which the rooms are distributed: over four floors with solid wood ceilings, original beams, and windows overlooking the brick pavilions of the “Louis XIII” square below.

A Roman bath is tucked away on the ground floor, open all day and accessible to guests who choose to take advantage of spa services and treatments, performed with Orweda products.

Period mirrors and art pieces adorn the walls, accompanied by furnishings upholstered in pastel blue and pink fabric. Lacquered screens and sliding walls provide a flexible space that is enhanced by the presence of candelabra lamps, antique terracotta and light blue tapestries. More modern interventions include a stainless steel four-poster bed, a small kitchen, and a luxuriously appointed bathroom.

Throughout the property is a collection of more than 100 original works of art curated by gallery owner Amelie du Chalard, along with books selected by independent bookseller Anatole Desachy.
