The Arts Hotel Porto, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is a property of undeniable charm and a very distinct personality, albeit articulated through two different, almost dichotomous emotional tones: ancient on the outside, with its 18th-century facade dominating the surrounding space in the heart of the city of Porto; dazzling, modern, and luminous on the inside, where the interior design concept is characterized by innovative taste, bold experimental tones, and a vision rich in references and allure.

Some details about the structure

Developed by Mercan Properties, the hotel opened its doors in April of this year. The hotel stands in the heart of the city, absorbing its local identity, characterized by maritime evocations, diverse influences, and a millennial history rich in events, encounters, and transformations. Just a few steps from the hotel are some of Porto’s landmarks, such as the Coliseu Theatre, the Church of Santo Ildefonso, and the Sao Bento Railway Station.

A strategic location, appreciated by tourists and business travelers alike, the Tapestry Collection by Hilton is now a building that represents the city of Porto and contributes to enhancing the urban skyline, thanks also to its corner location, making it easily visible and recognizable.

We were thrilled to be involved in designing the furnishings for the property: we were entrusted with the task of providing the mirrors that would adorn the rooms. The requirement was to deliver solutions that were both aesthetically impactful, functional, and capable of optimizing the space in the rooms.

From a design perspective, the hotel’s interiors offer a contemporary setting, enriched by a subtle yet intense exploration of elements capable of breaking conventions and providing a living experience that is specific, original, and unique.

We sought ideas that could align with the conceptualization and style of the spaces, developing a tailor-made project: the choice fell on one of our most successful mirror designs.

We opted for a design with circular suggestions, featuring perimeter lighting and a wall mounting via a metal rod welded to the ceiling, as if it naturally extended the structure. The design is evocative, soft, sinuously contemporary, with suggestive lines. The steel shines, enhanced by LEDs and the play of reflections from the mirror. A solution that nods to industrial style—chic and functional at the same time.
